Overview
The project included the new construction of 2, two-story office buildings, totaling 76,550 sf and housing the Department of Water & Power, Operations and General Services for the City of Corona. The entire lower level of one of the buildings (755 Corporation Yard Way) serves as the City’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC). When activated, the EOC will be staffed by representatives of various city departments, allied agencies and special representatives, as needed, for the particular incident or disaster being managed. The purpose of an EOC is to enhance communications and maximize the utilization of personnel and resources during a major incident. Corona’s EOC is operated under the Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS) in accordance with the City of Corona Emergency Operations Plan. The project also included a 384 capacity parking lot and landscaping for each building.
